Overview
You can use AnswerHub permissions to create a space that will only allow the content you choose to be posted in it. This is very useful if you want to create spaces to be used exclusively for questions and answers, ideas, or articles.
Information
To create the content-specific spaces, you must:
- Grant the Users group the required Start [content type] permission for the specific content type that
you want users to be able to post in the chosen space.
- If you do not want users to be able to create content of any other type in the chosen space,
you must revoke the Start [every other content type] permissions in the selected space.
Note: When you revoke the Start [content type] permission in a space, you remove the
selected content creation option from all of AnswerHub’s related dropdown menus with the
space. (You would still need the Publish [content type] permissions in order to post new
content for each type).
- If you only want users to be able to post content of a specific type within the chosen space,
and nowhere else on your AnswerHub site, you must also revoke the Start [content type]
permission in every other space.
- We suggest you do this through inherited permissions by revoking the Start [content
type] permissions at the site-level.

Resolving Conflicting Permission Settings
The following table shows how content creation options will appear on your AnswerHub site based on permission settings:
- For each scenario, the permissions are being granted or revoked from the Users group (and Anonymous if the site is public).
