Using the Hidden Moderator feature

Overview

One of the latest features introduced to AnswerHub is Hidden Moderator Edit. As stated in our documentation, this feature allows Moderators to make edits without affecting the content list sorting, updating the avatar and last action thread on list views for questions, articles, and ideas.

 

Information

In order to enable this feature, first you will need to grant permission to your preferred user's group by following these steps:

  1. Select the following menu item:

  2. Choose the preferred user group to configure permissions manually.
    For the example below, we're going to modify the Moderators group.

  3. Select the Advanced option for Site Permissions

  4. Navigate to the Moderation Roles section and expand the menu. There you will be able to grant the "Hide Moderator Edit" permission.

  5. Once this permission has been enabled, you can then allow the feature to be enabled automatically when editing posts. To enable this, navigate to the following menu:

    Now enable this option per content type:
