How to change a Username on a profile

This article provides a step-by-step guide on how to change a user's username on their profile. It is important to note that each username must be unique; duplicate usernames are not allowed.

Information

On occasion you may get a request from a user to change their username on their profile. Here is how you can change a username on a user's profile. Please note that the user will need to select a unique username, as we do not allow users on the site to have the same username as another user.

1. Navigate to the Admin
2. Select Users & Groups > Manage > Users from the side panel
   
   
   
   
3. Select the user in which you wish to change the username. Result:
   
   
   
   
4. Select the pencil icon and the username will be open to edit.
   
   
   
   
5. Enter the new username and then click save. Result: The username is changed.
   
   
   
   
6. Click on the wrench icon and select "view public profile". You will notice that the username is now changed to reflect the new name in all areas.
